Since it is the last week of school my daughter brought home a S**tload of papers. She was reading to me today from her school writing journal. Apparently they use jokes to prompt writing by making the answer a vocabulary word or a jumping off point for learning about a new subject.
Here are a couple of my favorites:
Q: What do you call a large painting that shows a country scene?
A: A rural mural
Q: What do you call a calm porcupine?
Q: What do you call it when an avocado pretends to be brave?
Q: What do you call an arrogant sponge?
Q: What do you call it when a black-and-white bear goes wild?
Q: What do you call a sleepy pile of wood?
I got a chuckle out of these & I hope you did too.
